Occupational Therapy intervention helps children develop a stronger foundation
for learning.

Participating in Occupational Therapy Children will begin to feel their skills develop and will show greater enthusiasm and excitement in their activities and interactions with others.

Children develop handedness, in-hand
manipulation skills, finger dexterity, and visual-motor skills through their everyday experiences of interacting in their environment.

Through these experiences children express themselves by exploring, engaging, and developing a sense of competency in the world in which they live.

Self-confidence and self-esteem
are enhanced.

Addressing the needs of the whole child and supporting his/her growth as an individual
are essential
.

In the effort to provide the child with feelings of safety and comfort; they feel a sense of confidence to take risks in new activities which promotes competencies in new skills.

movement and sensory-motor activities

fine-motor activities

social and recreational activities

pre-writing and drawing activities
